14-Under Swimmers enjoy Terrific Junior Olympics Meet
Congratulations to our 14-Under Junior Olympic Team for an outstanding meet!!
This meet was held at the Santa Clara International Swim Center! Ruby Hill Swimmers started the meet off with a bang!
Toby Huang was simply tremendous, swimming 100% Lifetime Best Swims in his first ever Junior Olympic Meet. In his first event of the weekend, he dropped over 6 seconds in his 100 Back (1:05.41) making finals. After swimming in finals that night, he placed third in the event picking up his first JO Medal in his very first event! This trend continued throughout the weekend as he dropped in his 50 Free, 100 IM (finals placing 9th), and the 200 Back (over 12 second drop placing 5th).
Allison Law was a very busy swimmer throughout the weekend swimming 50 Free (LTB), 500 Free (making finals and placing 7th), 50 Fly, 100 Fly, 100 Free, and the 200 Free. She was solid all weekend long!
Colette Wu had an amazing meet making into 5 different finals (50 Fly 7th, 100 Fly 6th, 50 Back 8th, 50 Breast 9th, and 100 IM 10th. Many Lifetime Best Swims for Collette as she really showed excellence throughout the weekend!
Nicole Xu had a terrific 50 Free on Friday morning, going 26.42.
Mohamed Aboutaleb unfortunately injured his ankle and was not able to attend the meet. Wishing him a speedy recovery and we are looking forward to some terrific swims when he returns.
